Coach McEachern was a Hobey Baker finalist and an All-American at Boston University where he tallied 186 points in three seasons. He spent 13 years in the NHL, amassing 254 goals and 317 assists, and winning the Stanley Cup in 1992 as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He also played for the 1992 US Olympic Team, as well as the 1991 US National Team. McEachern was inducted into the Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame in 2017. In his eight years at Rivers, his teams have won five Eberhart titles and gone to six consecutive New England post-season tournaments, including the elite Stuart/Corkery Open Tournament in 2017 and 2018.
