Our Mission and Core Values

Rivers inspires every student to pursue excellence, thrive in a community of connection and belonging, and create their own path to a life of impact and purpose.

This statement provides focus for our daily work and sets our long-term sights on preparing students for meaningful lives long after they leave campus. Guided by our philosophy of Excellence with Humanity, we value integrity, perseverance, empathy, curiosity, and joy as our core values. These principles guide our every action, reminding us that the pursuit of excellence is a journey of personal and collective growth.

How We Teach

At the heart of our academic community is a newly defined, cohesive approach to teaching and learning, a pedagogical framework deeply rooted in our school’s mission statement. This framework centers on three core pillars: Develop autonomy, build belonging, and cultivate purpose, and ensures a consistent, purposeful backdrop for all curricular discussions across our continuum from Grades 6 to 12.

As a faculty member here, you won't just inherit a curriculum; you will help shape it. Over the coming school years, our teaching teams and department chairs are actively refining department philosophies and mapping course-level skills. We invite educators who are passionate about collaborative design and intentional skill development to join us in this exciting work.
