Coach Meyer attended Boston University and was named the 2003 Male Athlete of the Year as a senior. While at BU, Meyer was also named a NCAA First Team AllAmerican in 2002-03, won three Beanpot Championships, and was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie team. After college, he played parts of seven seasons and 281 games in the NHL for the Philadelphia Flyers, New York Islanders, Phoenix Coyotes, and the Atlanta Thrashers. Upon retiring in 2012, he spent two years as an assistant coach for the Manchester Monarchs, the (AHL) affiliate for the Los Angeles Kings (NHL). In 2014, Meyer was named Head Coach/GM of the East Coast Wizards (EHL) where he guided the Wizards from a new junior franchise into a perennial favorite.
