  • Julia Auster-Hogan ’06

    Julia Auster-Hogan ’06 has been teaching at Rivers since 2016. She teaches Middle School theater arts and French, serves as a Middle School advisor and Grade 7 dean, produces Rivers’ theater shows, and advises the Coffeehouse, a community open mic event.

    Yoshi Fujita has been teaching at Rivers since 2014. He teaches Upper School physics, engineering, and robotics, and he is also the Grade 10 STEM Seminar coordinator and advises the multiracial affinity group.

  • Mallory Rome

    Mallory Rome is an Upper School history teacher who started at Rivers in 2020. “As schools tried to reopen in the face of COVID-19, I missed being in the classroom and part of the conversation about educating children in that daunting reality,” says Rome. She started at Rivers in a temporary, part-time role. “I loved teaching here so much I decided to stay in a full-time role,” she says.

    Sinan Parsons is an Upper School history faculty member currently teaching the Grade 9 course “Perspectives in World History” and the advanced Grade 11 course “U.S. and the World.” He’s also a Grade 9 advisor, Middle East and North Africa affinity group faculty advisor, geopolitics club faculty advisor, JV girls’ basketball head coach, varsity girls’ basketball assistant coach, and JV boys’ soccer assistant coach.
