I’ve had a passion for biology and life sciences ever since I took my first biology class in middle school, and the six weeks that I spent in the Wheeler Lab cemented my interest in the field and gave me valuable insight into the process of a successful lab. The Wheeler Lab is an institute that is dedicated to advancing techniques used in neuroimmunology.

I’ve always been fascinated by how giant, billion-dollar projects receive financing. This summer I had the opportunity to do an internship with the Project Finance Team at Longroad Energy, which is an independent power producer (IPP) that specializes in utility-scale, renewable energy installations and data center campuses.

As someone who has always been fascinated by anatomy and physiology and has spent years as a physical therapy patient myself, I was fortunate to get the opportunity to work with the physical therapists at JumpStart Physical Therapy this summer.

I’ve always been interested in healthcare, but my four-week internship at Noxon Orthodontics showed me how much science, problem solving, and teamwork goes into creating a healthy smile. Working alongside Stephen Noxon, Saloni Mehta, and their staff, I observed patient appointments and learned about orthodontics.

As someone aspiring to enter the medical field, I found that my three-week internship at Tufts Medical Center was a highly valuable opportunity to see the layers of healthcare firsthand. Observing both inpatient care and the outpatient clinic, I shadowed Dineli Ahearn, an internal medicine specialist and primary care physician, as she managed cases alongside her incredible teams.
