Caroline Phelps '18 Named US Lacrosse All-American
Caroline Phelps ’18 has made a significant impact on the Rivers girls’ lacrosse program over the last three years. After wrapping up an outstanding junior season, Caroline was one of six players from the ISL to earn US Lacrosse All-American status.
Caroline led the Rivers attack with 32 goals and 17 assists for 49 points and a points-per-game average of 3.5, which placed her second in the ISL. She received All-ISL Honors for the second consecutive year and was the 2017 recipient of the Coaches Award.
“Caroline raises the level of play for those around her,” said Girls’ Lacrosse Head Coach Lisa Parsons. “Caroline’s tireless work ethic, her raw speed, and her sheer passion for the game that have made her a force to contend with all over the field. Caroline has raised the level of her game and in doing so, has raised the level of her teammates’ game. She is the embodiment of the Rivers motto: ‘Excellence with Humanity’.”
Caroline was also named All-ISL in cross country and will be a captain of the girls’ lacrosse team next spring. She has committed to play college lacrosse at Villanova University following the completion of her Rivers career.
