Students Earn National Merit Honors
Eight Rivers students recently received National Merit commendation for their performance on last year’s PSAT/NMSQT, a test cosponsored by the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Commended students included seniors Nora Brown, Emilia DeJesus, Anna Donlan, Maren Durant, Callie Kamanitz, Michael Manasseh, Colette Meier, and Simonida Spasojevic.
These commended students scored in the top three percent of more than 1.6 million students who took the PSAT test last October. The PSAT provides practice for the SAT and offers recognition to students through the National Merit Scholarship Program.
“These students consistently perform well in the classroom, on the field, in the studios, wherever they are involved,” said Upper School Dean of Academic Affairs Susan Tammaro.
