The 2012 Rivers Cup was awarded at Alumni Day to L. Jeffrey Lowenstein ’77. Jeff has been an incredibly enthusiastic member of the Alumni Council for over a decade.
He’s been a loyal and dedicated member of the alumni association since the day he graduated. Even before his children were old enough to think about school, he and his wife made sure to settle down in a house just about two miles away from Rivers. Jeff, who is celebrating his 35th reunion this year, has been a member of the golf committee, the alumni excellence committee, a reunion chair, a golf sponsor, a host family, an auction sponsor, a parent fund agent, a phonathon caller, and a career networking volunteer. He’s an enthusiastic Red Wing Tweeter, sending up-to-the minute tweets about athletic contests, scores, and stats, to the Rivers community. He’s graduated one child from Rivers and has another one currently enrolled. If you come to Rivers events, he is always present and always positive. Congratulations to Jeff on receiving this award in recognition of his extraordinary dedication to The Rivers School.
