Cross-country Boys' – After a competitive 2009-2010, Steve Paluseo and his cross-country team are eager to return for another successful season. Co-captains Alex Bunick ’11, Casey Sunderland ’11 and Andy Gelb ’11 lead a young, high-energy team poised for big things in 2010-2011.
Girls' – With a strong group of returning runners led by co-captains Stephanie Lie ’11, Emily Burlingham ’11 and Phoebe Erickson ’12, the girls team is looking forward to an exciting season with the addition of eleven new members. Early season workouts have been encouraging as the team anticipates its season opener at the Tabor Invitational this week. Field hockey Coach Emily Hamlin has high hopes for the team after a hard-fought 6-11 season last year. All-League goalie Carlie Tarbell ’11 will share captaining duties with Abby Gilmartin ’11 and Rebecca White ’11. Football This year's squad features an imposing offensive line and some strong senior leadership. All-New England selection Taariq Allen ’11 is a formidable presence at safety and, as a wide receiver, finished with 485 receiving yards, 644 rushing yards, 367 return yards, and 14 touchdowns last season. Fellow co-captain Ben Patrick ’11 is a scoring threat at running back, with 8 rushing touchdowns and 858 yards, and All-ISL selection Shaq Sandiford ’12 (676 passing yards) will prove vital at QB. Coach Rich Fisher says he feels good about the team’s chances in the ISL this season.
Soccer Boys' – This season co-captains John Garcia ’11 and All-ISL honorable mention Peter Quayle ’11 anchor a strong Rivers defense at centerback and goalie, respectively. Declan McCabe ’14 is expected to make an immediate impact on the team alongside his brother Collin ’12, while Stephen Moore ’11 will also figure prominently after playing a major role on the state U-17 team that won the US Club Soccer National Championship in August.
Girls' – Coming off an impressive 13-4-1 season, Susanna Donahue expects similar success this year thanks to some strong returning talent and several additions. Captains Michelle Durand ’11 and All-State goalie Allison Brustowicz ’11 will serve as key leaders for the team this season.
