Welcome, Prospective Students and Families!

Thank you for your interest in The Rivers School. Not very long ago, my family and I made the decision to join the Rivers community. I know firsthand how daunting a school search can be at times. Rest assured, however, that this journey of discovery is one of the most important and rewarding experiences of your life. I am happy to share that we are already very proud to be part of this remarkably mission-driven and welcoming school community. At Rivers, students are both challenged and affirmed on a daily basis. Our highly experienced and dedicated faculty and staff help students discover, develop, and attain the highest levels of excellence in and out of the classroom. As you browse through our website, you will quickly gain a glimpse of the transformative opportunities Rivers has to offer.

As someone who has worked in independent schools for many years, I am truly inspired by Rivers. With innovative and challenging academic programs, championship teams, and an award-winning conservatory program, the school helps students build on their successes and identify new interests throughout their Rivers journey. Imagine a school community in which students are prepared for an increasingly complex world by developing a strong voice and necessary skills such as collaboration, cultural dexterity, integrity, and perseverance. This is Rivers. I invite you to experience Rivers yourself, and I can’t wait for you to see why we take such pride in this institution. Our admission team and I look forward to guiding you during your exciting journey!

A Commitment to Excellence

At Rivers we challenge students in a vibrant community in which every student is known, understood, and valued. By setting high standards in academics, arts, co-curricular activities, and athletics while also seeing each student as an individual, our community of educators helps students attain excellence and become their best selves. As a result, Rivers students flourish while tackling a rigorous program and are granted opportunities to achieve their goals in multiple areas along their educational journey.

Community and Compassion

Rivers is a school that maximizes the potential of its young people. We foster the enthusiastic pursuit of excellence in which students are given the freedom, the responsibility, and the opportunities to explore, discover, and gain knowledge. By helping students stretch themselves in all aspects of their educational development. Rivers offers its students a chance to become all that they can be. This universal goal is accomplished through the creation of a unique academic setting in which each student is given the chance to rise to the challenge in academics, arts, athletics, and the co-curricular program.
