Welcome to Rivers Middle School

Dear Middle School Families,

On behalf of the Middle School faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to the Rivers community. We are delighted that you will be joining us for the 2025-2026 school year and eagerly await the opportunity to get to know you!

In the meantime, you may have some questions about what comes next. This page contains all the information you will need for the next stage of enrolling in the Middle School at Rivers. You’ll see it has three sections: (1) Middle School Next Steps in preparing for next year, including some time-sensitive tasks we need you to complete; (2) Key Dates for the Start of School, so you can mark your calendars; (3) Helpful Documents that we know families appreciate, including our calendar for the year and the course catalog. As September approaches we’ll continue to add resources here as they become available.

Later this spring, we will be sending a more comprehensive communication that includes a master calendar for the 2025–26 school year, class lists, a schedule of important Middle School events, and an FAQ document that we hope will cover many of the questions you may have as you transition to Rivers. Your child's schedule and information about grade-specific back-to-school orientations will follow later this summer.

I wish you all the best as you finish out the school year! If you have any questions about next steps, please feel free to reach out to Nina Righter, Middle School administrative assistant, at n.righter@rivers.org.

Sincerely,

John Bower
Head of Middle School
