Basketball Teams Participate in Challenge
On Saturday, November 19 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Rivers’ basketball players will participate in the Student Athletes 4 Change Challenge to raise funds for at-risk student athletes in grades 3–8. Rivers’ players, in co-ed teams of five, will compete against Park School, Thayer Academy, and Noble and Greenough School, which is hosting this online math challenge.
The funds raised through the competition will support the Scholastic Basketball League (SBL) which utilizes a holistic approach to motivate young student athletes to "be competitive leaders in the class, on the court and in their communities."
The challenge was made possible by a partnership between Student Athletes Rising and the Rodman Ride for Kids. The students will compete through IgradeEdu online competitive learning. Click here to learn more about the organization and how to support its efforts.
