As the calendar flips to 2017, several Rivers alumni athletes are making good on resolutions to help their teams reach their goals during the winter sports season. Adding to the excitement of the season is the participation of seven Rivers hockey alumni who will showcase their talents at Frozen Fenway this month.
Erin Connolly ’15 – Boston College Women’s Ice Hockey In her first active season for the Boston College women’s ice hockey team, Erin has made a profound impact with six goals and three assists in 21 games for the Eagles. Her most recent game might have been the best of her young career as she scored two goals to lift the Eagles past Harvard, 3-1, at Fenway Park on January 10.
This was Erin’s second two-goal game – she scored twice against Providence on December 3 - but her second goal in the win over Harvard represented her first career game-winning goal.
Erin was a member of the 2012 Rivers ice hockey team that played at Fenway Park, as was classmate Jordan Cross ’15. Jordan, who now plays for Connecticut College, also played at Fenway Park this year and was
interviewed in the Boston Globe about the experience of playing for both Rivers and Conn College.
