Three winter sports teams made the New England Tournament this season for Rivers, with the boys’ basketball, girls’ basketball, and girls’ ice hockey team all receiving seeds from the selection committees over the weekend. This news comes on the heels of an impressive third-place finish by the girls’ skiing team in February.
Three winter sports teams made the New England Tournament this season for Rivers, with the boys’ basketball, girls’ basketball, and girls’ ice hockey team all receiving seeds from the selection committees over the weekend. This news comes on the heels of an impressive third-place finish by the girls’ skiing team in February.
“For so many of our varsity programs to have this kind of success is an outstanding achievement for Rivers athletics,” says Director of Athletics Jim McNally. “It truly is a tribute to the hard work and dedication that was put in by all the players and coaches this season.”
All quarterfinal games will be played on Wednesday, March 3, with two games taking place at Rivers. Girls' basketball hosts Williston Northampton at 3:30 p.m. in Benson Gymnasium, and girls' ice hockey will host The Gunnery at 4:30 p.m. in MacDowell Arena. Boys' basketball will be playing at Lawrence Academy at 4:00 p.m.
