Rivers School Students Earn AP Scholar Honors

Rivers students received honors in recognition of their outstanding academic performance on the college-level Advanced Placement (AP) exams in 2007.
Two current Rivers seniors and twenty-six members of the Class of 2007 received honors from the College Board in recognition of their outstanding academic performance on the college-level Advanced Placement (AP) exams in 2007.

AP Scholar with Distinction Award
The following students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. These students are: Alexander Barstow '07, attending Tufts University; Timothy Carman '07, Hamilton College; Lauren Creedon '07, Harvard University; Nicolas Giometti '07, Dartmouth College; Miles Jacoby '07, Yale University; Bryan Kaufman '07, New York University; Katherine Muto '07, Colby College; Shoban Pothula '07, Johns Hopkins University; Will Quayle '07, Williams College; and Steven Rizoli '07, Harvard University.

AP Scholar with Honor Award
The following students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. These students are: Zachary Barnett '07, attending Pomona College; Laura Bellucci '07, Emerson College; Meghan Hesselmann '07, Syracuse University; Alyssa Kaitz '07, Washington University in St. Louis; Dylan Lockman '07, Santa Clara University; Leo McDonnell '07, Oberlin College; and Hannah Shambroom '07, Connecticut College.

AP Scholar Award
The following students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP Exams, with grades of 3 or higher. The AP Scholars are: Eddie Benjamin '07, attending Colby College; Anna Crystal '07, Wesleyan University; Sam Galison '07, New York University; Sam Harrison '07, Middlebury College; Nick Jenkins '07, Washington University in St. Louis; Edwin Shanfeld '07, Lehigh University; Courtney Townsend '07, Connecticut College; Christopher Whittier '07, Wake Forest University; and James Wolf '07, Vanderbilt University. Current members of the Class of 2008, Brian Hoefling and Lori Suvajian, also qualified for the AP Scholar Award.
