Anne August most recently served as the Advancement Services Manager in the development office at the Dana Hall School. She was responsible for all gift processing, gift acknowledgements, and campaign and fund tracking. Anne received an undergraduate degree from Tulane University and joins the Rivers development office as Development Assistant.

Carole Enright served as head of the World Languages department for nine years at Nashoba Brooks School and was instrumental in developing its French and Latin curricula. She has also worked as a museum house guide for the Louisa May Alcott Memorial Association. Carole has a master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree from Mount Holyoke College. She is teaching Middle School French.

Marc Facella served as a support analyst and IT Administrator at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where he coordinated the implementation and maintenance of a new IT system for the MFA's retail division. Marc has studied computer science at both Quincy College and Boston University Metropolitan College and is the school's Network Manager.

Matthew Goethals most recently taught ESL (English as a second language), life science, pre-algebra, and twelfth grade life skills at the American International School in San Jose, Costa Rica. In addition, he was the head middle school boys' soccer coach and was the assistant coach for the upper school boys' soccer team. Matthew received an undergraduate degree from Williams College and played NCAA men's ice hockey. He earned a Scholar Athlete Award for excellence in academics and athletics and was voted the Most Valuable Player by his hockey teammates during his sophomore season. Matthew is teaching Middle School math and is the assistant boys' varsity ice hockey coach and assistant Middle School baseball coach.

Shirley Lowe has taught seventh and eighth grade Latin for the Wayland public schools for more than thirty years. In addition, she served as a foreign language curriculum leader and was a district-wide mentor facilitator. She is a member of the Classical Association of New England and was their President Elect in 2006-2007. Shirley has a master's degree from Trinity College and an undergraduate degree from Montclair State College in New Jersey. She is teaching Upper School Latin for John McVey who is on sabbatical.

David Lyons '99 most recently served as the Assistant Dean of Admissions at Hamilton College where he reviewed applications and managed college relations with high schools and community based organizations in Europe, western New York, Massachusetts and the southern states. David received his undergraduate degree from Hamilton in 2003. A Rivers graduate from the Class of 1999, he returns to campus as the Associate Director of College Counseling and is the assistant varsity boys' soccer coach.

Kathleen McCourt '98 most recently assisted with prospectus review and fund expansion in the annuity product management department at MetLife in Boston. Kate received a law degree from Villanova University School of Law and an undergraduate degree from Boston College. While in law school she interned for the office of Massachusetts Attorney General Tom Reilly and the Philadelphia Water Department. She graduated from Rivers in 1998 and is the Assistant Director of Development.

William McGinty '02 joined the Rivers community last year as a substitute U.S. and European history teacher. Bill graduated from Rivers in 2002 and received an undergraduate degree from Haverford College. He is an Upper School history teacher and is coaching Middle School boys' tennis and basketball.

Sabrina Stackler Miller most recently held a teaching fellowship in French at Boston College where she also served as a French tutor for Learning Resources for Student Athletes at Boston College. She has a master's degree in French from Boston College and an undergraduate degree from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania and the University of Haute Alsace in France. Sabrina is teaching Upper School French.

Li Ji Noiseux has worked at Needham High School as a Mandarin teacher and world language lab director. She has also organized trips for a U.S.-China educational exchange program. Li Ji has an undergraduate degree from York University in Canada and a Certificate of Educational Training for teaching Mandarin from the New England Association of Chinese Schools. She is teaching Chinese and is the Assistant to the Director of Diversity.

Shari Rapasz has more than fifteen years of dance and choreography experience. She has taught Pilates, stretch and strength, creative movement, and contemporary dance for children and adults at Gravity Arts Studio 2 in Jamaica Plain. In addition, she taught multiple types of dance including ballet, contemporary, jazz, and hip hop at the Dancers Workshop in Sudbury. Shari is a certified Pilates instructor and is teaching Middle School dance.
