Carbery Named New Head of Upper School
Patricia L. Carbery was recently named the new Head of Upper School at Rivers.
Patricia L. Carbery was recently named the new Head of Upper School at Rivers. Patti has been at Rivers since 1993 and served in many positions. Most recently she has worked as the associate director of college counseling, but she has also taught history, coached, led the Model United Nations Club, been a grade dean, and piloted community service trips to Romania.
Patti will continue to teach AP United States History in addition to her work as a division head. She holds a bachelor’s of arts degree from Yale University and a master’s of science from Northwestern University.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know the students and families in a different role,” she said. “Even though I am a teacher at heart and I will miss spending so much time in the classroom and coaching, but I am dedicated to being a part of shaping the school program so that it truly serves our students in every way possible.”
