Established in 2001, The Rivers School Alumni Excellence Award is presented by the Alumni Association to members of the Rivers community who display extraordinary achievement within their career field or through an outstanding commitment to social, political, or other volunteer cause.
The purpose of the Award is to highlight the professional and volunteer achievements of select members of the Rivers community and in so doing inspire Rivers students to pursue their passions. A secondary purpose is to illustrate to the outside community examples of how Rivers graduates have positively impacted society and in doing so raise awareness of Rivers’ mission.
• The recipient will be a living example of Excellence with Humanity. • The recipients' life achievements must be considered extraordinary, but can include commitment to career or to social, political, or other volunteer cause.
• Members of the Alumni Excellence Award Committee are ineligible recipients.
Each spring, nominations are solicited from graduates, class agents and faculty to be reviewed by the Alumni Excellence Award Committee. From the list of nominees, the committee will select the final recipient(s).
DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING NOMINATIONS IS OCTOBER 30.
All nominations are kept on file for three years following the year in which they are originally considered. Nominators are encouraged to update nomination materials after three years, if applicable.
All nomination materials will be screened for completeness and forwarded to the Young Alumni Achievement Award Committee. Questions? Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
