Global Education

Global Citizenship and Cultural Competency

At Rivers, Global Education focuses on curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular opportunities to incorporate global competencies and perspectives throughout the school community. In addition to curricular integration, opportunities for global engagement include travel programs, webinars, and conferences, which equip students with the tools they need to meet a more interconnected world, nurturing values of mutual respect, cross-cultural understanding, equity, and justice.

Travel Programs

Through its Travel Programs, The Rivers School aims to ensure academic excellence and to enrich the student experience by bringing our students out into the world to engage in hands-on learning that fosters curiosity, courage, and collaboration. Successful Travel Programs at Rivers have integrity and perseverance at their core, and they encourage self-awareness, independence, cross-cultural competence, empathy, and risk-taking. Students are immersed in life-changing experiences that broaden and enhance their view of the world.
