Coach McEachern was a Hobey Baker finalist and an All-American at Boston University, where he tallied 186 points in three seasons. He spent 13 years in the NHL, amassing 254 goals and 317 assists, and winning the Stanley Cup in 1992 as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He also played for the 1992 US Olympic Team, as well as the 1991 US National Team at the World Championships in Finland. He previously served as an assistant coach at UMass/Lowell, Northeastern, and Salem State University. Last spring, McEachern was inducted into the Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame. In his seven years as at Rivers, his teams have won four Eberhart titles and gone to five consecutive New England post-season tournaments.
