The Rivers Day Camp was established in 1963 to provide wholesome and interesting activities for young boys and girls from 4 to 13 years of age. The camp is situated on the 45 acre campus of The Rivers School in Weston and features Nonesuch Pond, a 52-acre spring-fed great pond. Our campers have access to the expansive field house in Rivers' state-of-the-art MacDowell Athletic Center.

We offer healthy, enjoyable, and diverse activities that contribute to the all-around development of children while occupying and entertaining their eager hands, minds and bodies. The structure of organized activities provides a ready-made environment for making friends and socializing.

We offer a two-year Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program for boys and girls ages 14 and 15. Because we limit this program to 15 boys and 15 girls, we suggest you apply as early as possible.

The eight-week program fee for a first-year CIT (CIT I) is $2,120. The tuition fee for a second-year CIT (CIT II) is $1,060.

The program for four-year-olds, preschool campers, offers an introduction to a relaxed educational camp environment, including active participation in a health and physical fitness program designed for this age group. This includes an introduction to planned group activities and water safety.

Our objective is designed to develop habits, attitudes, abilities, and character traits of life-long value. It combines the development of skills in arts and crafts and sports with pure fun and adventure. The result is a happy, healthy and beneficial summer camp experience for your child.

Our staff strives to provide a happy, constructive, non-competitive, and relaxed place for the children during the summer months. We believe we can best accomplish this goal when we have the children at the camp for at least four weeks. The camper-staff ratio is approximately 5:1. We are a traditional, structured camp where the camp directors work hard to provide each camper with a comprehensive and balanced program. Because we believe that the camp experience is enhanced by full participation, each camper is required to join in each activity.

Our camp day begins at 8:45 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. We offer a morning extended-day program which runs from 7:45 - 8:45 a.m. and an afternoon extended-day program which runs from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. There is a fee for this optional service.

We admit campers of any race, color, religious affiliation, nationality, or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to campers.

The Rivers Day Camp is a member of the American Camping Association and The American Forestry Association. The latter is an organization devoted to the conservation and development of America's forests and related resources of soil, water, and wildlife for the good of all Americans.
