Rivers Day Camp in the News! | | Transportation Included in our camp tuition, we offer transportation from convenient pick-up points to and from the day camp. A Rivers Day Camp monitor accompanies each bus and helps make the ride an extension of the camp day.
Campers come to camp in one of two ways: by bus or by parent driver. We are focused on getting campers in and out of camp with consistency and safety. Over the years, we have perfected a system to ensure that arrivals and departures happen as quickly and safely as possible.
Our bus service has been providing safe and convenient transportation for our camp families.
An application and information will be mailed to you after enrollment.
Towns serviced: Dover, Framingham, Medfield, Natick, Needham, Newton, Sherborn, Sudbury, Sudbury Farms, Waltham, Wayland, Wellesley, Wellesley Hills, Weston, and Westwood.
A Rivers Day Camp monitor accompanies each bus and help make the bus ride an extension of the camp day. Safety is of utmost concern. In the morning, the monitor will greet you and your camper at your stop and take attendance. In the afternoon, the monitor will get off the bus with your camper and using information provided by you to the camp, will make sure your camper is picked up by the appropriate person.
The majority of our campers take the bus. Some campers arrive by a parent driver.

They can choose from a hot lunch selection, such as pasta or hamburgers, including a vegetarian option, a salad bar and fresh fruit to sandwiches. Juice, water, and white and chocolate milk are always available at lunch in an unlimited quantity.
The camp provides nutritional snacks, as well as juice and water throughout the day.

Staff The key to any good camp is the staff. Our staff realizes the role they play in shaping a camper’s experience and the level of trust and responsibility this entails. Their enthusiam, professionalism, and understanding help provide a safe environment that enhances a child’s creative skills, imagination, physical abilities, and most importantly, allows everyone to have fun!
Our staff is selected on the basis of experience, dedication to working with children, knowledge and certification in their area of instruction, as well as a dynamic personality—many of them were once campers at Rivers as well! We group our counselors into teams of three-with an experienced educator, college student, and a skilled Rivers Camp CIT graduate-all of whom lead our camper groups. Our staff strives to provide a happy, constructive, non-competitive, and relaxed place for the children during the summer months. The camper-staff ratio is approximately 5:1, and most of our counselors have been with the camp for many years—some even as campers themselves. All of our staff undergo a thorough screening process including CORI and SORI background checks. |
