Jake Willsey '13 Making Mark for Tulane Baseball
Jake Willsey '13 is a freshman middle infielder for the Tulane Green Wave baseball team and is quickly making his mark on the program.
Jake Willsey '13 is a freshman middle infielder for the Tulane Green Wave baseball team and is quickly making his mark on the program. Jake has started 10 games so far this year, but the last game he played may be one he remembers for a long, long time.
Jake and the Green Wave played host to the No. 4 LSU Tigers on Tuesday, March 25, and came away with a 3-2 win in 11 innings with Jake scoring the game-winng run. With two outs in the bottom of the 11th, Jake doubled down the right field line for his second hit of the day, then came around to score when the next batter singled into right field.
It was the first time Tulane had beaten LSU in four years.
