Under the experienced leadership of one of the top college counseling directors in the country, students go through an extensive process of workshops, conferences, and self-evaluation exercises as they narrow their search. This process helps students determine the colleges that most closely match their interests and needs, and prepares them for the final application procedure. Because the college search process is often a family activity, communications with each student’s parents is an integral and valued part of the college counseling process.
Starting in the winter of junior year, students and their parents meet with one of our college counselors for an in-depth conference in which they examine the academic record, long-term goals, and number of options for the student. Throughout the remainder of the process, as students and their families explore and visit various options, our counselors guide them through the proper procedures and keep them apprised of deadlines. Our college counseling staff bring warmth, patience, honesty, and a genuine understanding to what might otherwise be a confusing and stressful time.
