At Rivers we believe that the best way to educate young people is to challenge them with a rigorous program in a caring and supportive community in which each child is known, understood and valued. We take pride in the fact that we are not a “one size fits all” school. Each of our students is unique. Our job is to help each of them find those unique attributes and develop them. We believe fervently that this approach will aid our students in living happy, productive lives.
At Rivers “Excellence with Humanity” is not just a slogan; rather it drives everything we do. The goals of the 2007 Strategic Plan were specifically designed to serve this mission. From new buildings to improvements in the advisor program, from diversity initiatives to the establishment of a wellness program, from research on curriculum that prepares students for an ever-changing world to programs that enhance student leadership- The Rivers School Strategic Plan reflects the school’s drive to live its mission to the fullest.
