Here at The Rivers School, we believe that each student is unique. That is why our classes, programs, faculty, and resources are devoted to helping each student discover his or her own capabilities and interests. As a school easily accessible from Boston and the greater Boston area, we are proud of our diversity and openness to other cultures and world issues.
The school's beautiful natural campus includes buildings that reflect the "open air" philosophy of the early years with large picture windows, high peaked ceilings and outdoor walkways. Come visit our campus, meet the students and teachers, and find out for yourself what makes this school different. I also invite alumni to return to Rivers and see what changes have taken place since you've been away.
Our college counselors lead students through an extensive two-year process of workshops and self-evaluation to help determine the best college choices for you. We want you to be yourself as you prepare for your future education. Graduates of 2007 are attending Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, Wesleyan, Colby, Connecticut College, Tufts, Vanderbilt, New York University, Villanova, George Washington, Oberlin College, Notre Dame, Williams and other outstanding colleges and universities.
My years at The Rivers School have shown me that everyone thrives in a small class environment. Each of our students is given individual attention by mentors, coaches, teachers, advisors and counselors. Parents play a large role in our school community and take a healthy interest in their children's academic progress and after-school activities. If Rivers sounds like the place for you or your children, you will find a warm community with lifelong connections.
